Where do you begin?
Research and vet your A-Team which include your realtor and your lender. Start online. Look at reviews: what are their customers saying? Ask friends and family on their referrals for lenders and realtors. Who have they used?
This is a BIG decision. Questions to think about? Is the person you are hiring accessible? Are they seasoned? How long have they worked in the area you want to purchase in? If you have a question at 10pm at night, how quickly do you get a reply back? And who answers?
WHO YOU WORK WITH MATTERS.
Pre-Approval. Understanding your financial picture is a crucial first step that Buyers may put off at first. I cannot stress getting all your numbers in order. Your lender/mortgage broker can determine what you can afford, and offer suggestions for downpayment assistance programs you may qualify for. Once your pre-approval letter is ready, we’re off to go shopping.
